Tendonitis
Tendonitis is a condition where a tendon becomes inflamed, causing swelling, pain, and discomfort. It can happen to any tendon in the body and is linked to tenosynovitis, which is the inflammation of the lining of the tendon sheath around a tendon.2 Tendonitis can cause joint pain, stiffness, and affect how a tendon moves. Mild tendon injuries can be treated at home and should feel better within 2 to 3 weeks.0 Tendonitis differs from arthritis, which refers to inflammation of a joint. It is one of the most common causes of soft-tissue, musculoskeletal pain.
